Comparing objects using eclpise 14.10

Hello Friends,

I am having hard time using the compare tables functionality using eclipse.

I see the compare and select source profile and i see the objects i want to compare but the window doesn't pop up as it says in the help.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The Compare is invoked by dragging the source object from the Data Source Explorer window and dropping it on the object of the same type in the Compare View window. Navigate the object tree in the Compare View to locate the destination object, then drag and drop. You should see a plus, '+,' to indicate it is OK to drop the object.

Hello Francine,

Thanks Very Much!

Do we have to do one by one or can we do multiple objects at one time?

Thanks..

The Compare is one by one. You would have to piece together the Show DDL of the multiple objects into a SQL file, then piece together the Show DDL of the other objects you wish to compare with and use the file compare in the Project Explorer. Select the two SQL files, then right click and choose Compare With> Each Other
