Import Data to volatile Table Error: java.lang.StackOverflowError

I want to import data to a volatile table with the teradata studio import feature

The date contains 70.631 rows, has only 1 column each is a character length 16.

So I'm creating an empty volatile table:

CREATE VOLATILE TABLE test
(
variable character(16)
)
ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS;

Select import, choose test, External file(fast load), select my .csv file , check the delimter options - I played around with nearly all of them as I have only 1 column no delimiter is given -> fixed width 16

the preview is always correct but the process stops at 3/4 of the bar with the same error message:

An internal error occurred during: "Load Data test".
java.lang.StackOverflowError

I can't stop this process without closing teradata studio.

Also played around with varchar etc. for the volatile table.

I can correctly load the data to our data base with KNIME/SAS so I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the .csv file.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

I don't think fast loading or multi loading of data to a volatile temporary table is supported. I believe only SQL operations are allowed..

We need to look at the error logs to see where the stack overflow is happening. I don't think you can attach them here so would need to open an incident and provide the logs.

I had the same problem, this was resolved by modifying the commit row size.
