TD Studio Load To VMWare Table - Load Hangs

I am trying to load a table on a VMWare database from a regular on-premises TD table. The source table is small (< 100 rows). The progress window shows green but it never finishes nor does it ever error out. Are there any logs I can search or any Preferences that can be tuned? Thank you.

Re: TD Studio Load To VMWare Table - Load Hangs

First, make sure you are running the latest TD Studio 16.00.02 as there was an issue in the

earlier version when export data. If the issue still exist after the upgrade, try to isolate where

the issue is. Export from your Teradata system running on VM to an external file(.xls file type).

Then, later use the exported file as your input file and load it onto Teradata.

By the way, if you want to enable logging to debug the issue. Click Windows -> Preference -> Teradata Tools Prefenrence -> Logging Preferences and set Logging Level & Console Logging Leve both to Debug and click

Apply -> Ok. Restart Studio. The two logs "teradata.log" and .log is located in C:\Users\<user_name>\

workspace-studio\.metadata and teradata.log is in .metadata\teradata directory.

Re: TD Studio Load To VMWare Table - Load Hangs

TD Studio Version: 16.0.0.201612190955 (I assume this is version you are referring to).

I did as you said and did an export from on-premises DB instance and was able to load without issue to the VMWare instance.

So after that I turned on the logging as you suggested and tried to do the data load the original way. Again it hung. The below seem to be most recent and relavent things in the 2 log files. Nothing pops out at me as though something is wrong. Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Re: TD Studio Load To VMWare Table - Load Hangs

So it looks like you are doing a Copy Table from one Teradata Database to another Teradata system. Yes? There was a problem fixed in Studio 16.00.01. You are running the 16.00 version. Please upgrade to the latest, 16.00.02 which should resolve the issue.
