Teradata Studio 6.20 editor issues: modified indicator, lost cursor position

Two errors I have noticed after migration from Teradata Studio 6.10 to 6.20:
- After opening a file in Teradata DQL Editor, the modified indicator (*) is shown in the file name tab.
- When executing a selected statement spanning more than one line in the editor, the text selection is lost and the cursor jumps to the top of the file. This is extremely frustrating when having a long file with several prepared statements when having to search for the previous position in the file after every statement execution. In this case, the modified indicator is also triggered.

We'll looking into the first issue you mentioned with the modified indicator on the editor when you first open it.

The fix for the second issue will be available in a release by the end of the January.

Re: Teradata Studio 6.20 editor issues: modified indicator, lost cursor position

With TD Studio 16.20.00.01 the issue is still present when having selected a single statement spanning more than one line, like this:

   select count(*)

   from **bleep**;

After executing with "Execute SQL statements as individual statements" the cursor position jumps to the top of the file and the modification indicator (*) is triggered.

It does not happen with a selection of more than one statement or with a single-line statement.

Workaround: Use the function "Execute Selected Text (Alt+X)" - selection is not lost and modification indicator is not triggered.

In 16.20.00.00, also this workaround did not work.

The issue with the modified indicator after first opening a file can be fixed in 16.20.00.00 and 16.20.00.01 with saving the file once. After re-opening, the indicator does not appear again.
