Teradata Studio Express 16 Oracle connector

Hello everybody,

I am trying to connect to a Oracle database by using Teradata Express Studio version 16, but it does not have defined the Oracle connection type. When I try to create a new connection I can only select from Aster, Hadoop or Teradata.

In the manual is written that I can select it, but it just does not appear. Maybe I am missing a configuration file or something.

I'll be happy if someone can point me a direction, since is difficult to find information that relates ONLY to the Teradata 16.

Thanks in advance

Hi David,

In the top toolbar if you go to Window > Preferences, and type in "New Profile Connection Types" or manually navigate to that page under the Teradata Datatools Preferences section. You'll see a list of connection types. Is Oracle checked? If not, go ahead and check it and hit the Apply button.

Thanks a lot. Perfect answer, problem solved!

You can close topic.

As suggestion I would recomend to open the mainstream database by default (to avoid unexperience users like me ask simple questions)
