ErrorLimit in TPT script

ErrorLimit in TPT script

Hi All,

I have given errorlimit in my TPT script as 100 and have source file with 50 records.

Im trying to load the source file data into table

I ma getting TPT I/O error with varchar field length eceeded.

How can i get this error even if i mentioned error limint as 100.

Please help on this.

Hi Devallu,

you didn't mention the operator used.

The errolimit is for errors while loading into the work table of an UPDATE or into the target table for a LOAD. But i/o errors are encountered while reading the data from the source.

You probably got some wrong definition in your script, showing the script/DDL would be helpful.

Iam using LOAD operator and given the error limit.

Even i was given error limit as 100, for one error recors iam not able to load the table.

I am working with tpt load operator,and i wanted to ask where to specify this error limit in tpt script and what is the syntax.
