Export Import from one database to another.

Export Import from one database to another.

Hi Everyone,

I am just beginning to work with Teradata. I was asked to
search to find out how to export data from one Teradata to
another. The problem is, all I found is an export/import method,
but we still have to create a table in the destination database.
I have already searched through some basics, but have not found
any solution to avoid that scenario.

Is there any way we can export a table and then import it into
an new empty detabase?

I am good at Oracle, but not teradata.

Thanks.

Use Arcmain to do a archive , copy ..... the sytnax is relatively simple ... refer the Archive/Recovery manual for more details.

Re: Export Import from one database to another.

It's strongly suggested to use a temporary table for import . :-)
in Teradata, fastload is to load data into temporary table , no destination table .
if use arcmain, the former data in the table will be lost
you must choose how to do it yourself
