In our current project we are using Informatica and Teradata. All the operations done in Informatica can be done by Teradata SQL also. So can anybody tell me in which scenarios Informatica is better than Teradata?
Definitely all functions of informatica can be done by teradata itself.
But performance will depend on some parameters like data volume, selection of indexes, collected statics, type of query, use of NUSI bit mapping and value ordered v/s has ordered .... aslo data compression.
So I would suggest u to go for teradata itself whenever possible.
