Mload - sessions override by DBS

Hi Experts,

The excerpt from the script

 .BEGIN         IMPORT MLOAD TABLES db.db
WORKTABLES db.WT_db
ERRORTABLES db.ET_db db.UV_db
ERRLIMIT 0
CHECKPOINT 0
TENACITY 10000
SESSIONS 12
SLEEP 6
;

From the above the no. of sessions declared is 12.  Following the loader log indicating the number of sessions as 33.

Where can I find the value for DBS that override the user specified session count?

Re: Mload - sessions override by DBS

If you are working on Teradata 13.10 or above then the session limits specified in TASM will override the limits that you have set in you Multiload script. In your case the TASM session rule would enforce a session count of 33 which is overriding the session count in your script.

For more info on this you could read this excellent article

Hope it helps

You can find the value that is set in the dbscontrol. The above is not exactly an error and can be overriden by the DBA.
