Just so everyone knows:
A topic that has come up several times with the TPT ODBC Operator is that some of us (including me - dev only!) have used the non-supported ODBC drivers.
When things start to go wrong, you'll probably come to the Forum or re-read the TPT Documentation. I for one wouldn't read the TTU release notes, which just happened to contain this piece of information:
TPT to Bundle Progress/DataDirect ODBC Drivers for TPT
ODBC Operator to allow data to be pulled from other databases;
This is great news for Teradata 15.10 TPT, and will spread the use of the ODBC Operator.
+1 Teradata, and Steven Feinholz !
Yah, well, it sucks becasue you have to purchase a DataDirect license in order to use the 64-bit drivers.
This is not true.
We bundle both the 32-bit and 64-bit drivers with TPT.
You do not have to purchase the license from DataDirect.
However, you do need to obtain the license files from us.
How to check Data Direct ODBC is installed and license.
we are using Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.8
Teradata Parallel Transporter Version 15.00.00.00
Our requirement is to extrat oracle data using TPT and load to Teradata.
Thanks and Regards,
