TPT Errors while running SSIS packages

Hello,

We are running a SSIS package that connect to a Hadoop system and pull data to our Teradata system which was running fine without issues. Now we get the below two errors and wondering what could be the issue.

[TD Destination  [65]] Error: TPT Import error encountered during Initiate phase. CLI error 207 (no message text available)

[Teradata Destination [2063]] Error: TPT Import failed to insert row. No record of the last request was found after DBC restart

The first error is intermittent. It happens like 7 out of 10 times. The second error is consistent. If the first error doesn't occur, the second ones occurs and the job fails. I checked the Teradata KB and found the second error can happen due to network glitches. Has someone encountered this and resolved it?

Thanks

Re: TPT Errors while running SSIS packages

A CLI207 is a network connect error.

Might be related to the same "network glitches" you referenced for the 2nd error.

Thanks for the response Steve. How can we figure out where the issue is? Can we enable any trace that would pinpoint  the issue?

Re: TPT Errors while running SSIS packages

TPT just reports what it gets from CLI.

You would have to enable the CLI trace in order to get its log.

And that would be up to the CLI group to diagnose (not my area).
