can you limit the ODBC connection to only 1 database?

I have set up a windows ODBC connection to a teradata warehouse which works fine and SQL Assistant will pull back data from the tables.

But when I am using it with another application using this connection string I seem to be polling the entire database for information, not just a single database.

ID:^?Password:;LOCAL;TD;DSN=DTERA;UID=%s;PWD=%s;@ASYNC=1@900/900@COLSEQ=

I thought that adding Database=LATCC would allow me to restrict connectivity to the database only but it seems that when we are connecting that the tool will still look at all 12,000 databases...

I have also seen syntax that has:

userid/password@LATCC.DTERA

...

do I just add @LATCC.DTERA to the above string? I guess I am at a loss to find anywhere they document ODBC strings for Teradata.

Any ideas?

And can you specify a list of the databases you want to limit access to? in the connection string?
