64-bit TPT Tools versus 32-bit TPT Tools

Hello everyone,

In installing TPT v14, I noticed that there appeared to be a 32-bit version and a 64-bit version of the utilities.  I was wondering if there were any pros or cons of using one version versus the other (we operate in a 64-bit Windows OS).

If it helps, we generally are using the Stream, Load, DDL, and DataConnector operators.

Many thanks in advance.

TPT v14.00 only runs in 32-bit mode.

You might see 64-bit versions of the Load, Update, Export and Stream operators because they are used by TPTAPI.

Thank you; I am wondering, if we were to build an interface via the TPT API, would we notice a performance benefit over the 32-bit version?

Probably not. We have not seen any appreciable performance improvements with 64-bit TPT (in development).
