Elapsed time to execute a query

Hello.

I am using bteq to execute a few SELECT's I want to optimize. I'd like to make an accurate measure of time. However, the only way I know to measure time is to read the message:

*** Total elapsed time was 45 seconds.

that appears after executing the query, and I need more precision in my measurements. Do anybody know other way to measure time that Teradata needs to execute a statement? Do anybody know how to configure "elapsed time" to get a message like one next one?

*** Total elapsed time was 45.23 seconds.

Can I get messages like next ones?

*** Statement started execution at 12:15:23.485

*** Statement started execution at 12:16:08.751

Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards

Celia

Re: Elapsed time to execute a query

Hi Celia,

"Do anybody know how to configure "elapsed time" to get a message like one next one?

*** Total elapsed time was 45.23 seconds."

No built in way to achieve that...

"Can I get messages like next ones?

*** Statement started execution at 12:15:23.485"

select '*** Statement started execution at' (title'')
, current_time(2) (title'')
