We are installing TERADATA Tools and Utilities 12.0 on AIX 6.1 platform. And we need to validate the installation for FEXP.
We have written a FEXP script for a simple SELECT query as follows -
.LOGTABLE utillog ; /* define restart log */ .LOGON EDW_HOST/<<Username>>, <<Password>> ; /* DBC logon string */
.BEGIN EXPORT /* specify export function */ SESSIONS 20; /* number of sessions to be used */ .LAYOUT UsingData ; /* define the input data */ .FIELD Column_val * CHAR(10) ; /* values for the SELECT */ /* constraint clause. */ .IMPORT INFILE fexpinput.txt /* identify the file that */ LAYOUT UsingData ; /* contains the input data */ .EXPORT OUTFILE fexpoutput.txt ; /* identify the destination */ /* file for exported data */ Select count(*) from /* provide the SQL SELECT */ from <<Databasename.Tablename>> where column_val = :read_from_INFILE
.END EXPORT ; /* terminate the export */ .LOGOFF ; /* disconnect from the DBS */
I need to use the CHECKUTILS fuCHECKUTILS functionality of EDW before running this script.. Can anyone please help me...? Also please tell me if the script i have written is correct...!
