FLOAD: How to load different flat files to a single table using fastload without merging the flat files

Hi All,

I am new to teradata world and have open questions on Fload , can any one please help me out on this or provide me with the link for documents which i can refer.

1) can we load multiple flat file to a single table in fastload, if yes How to load  different flat files to a single table using fastload without merging the flat files. And if my file are comming in an intervel of one hour each then how to acomplish this?

2) And do we have the limitation on the number of files in one single script?

3) Can we validate the data in the target table if we have flaod in pause state, how do we do that?

Thank you in advance..

For the 1st and 2nd question - You can load one file per fastload job. So if you want to load multiple files you need to load that many number of time or concatenate all the files and load at a go.

For the 3rd one i dont think you can access the table during a load even if it is in pause state.

The FastLoad Reference Manual has all of the information you need to learn how to load multiple files into a single Teradata table.
