As per my knowledge in Acquisition phase all errors goes to ET table & application phase errors goes to UV table only.

So, does ET and UV tables give full information about the load status?

Teradata load utilities are informative by themselves. When you run a utility from the console you can always see in what phase the utility is currently running. If the job fails the user will be returned with informative error messages which are displayed on-screen in whatever phase it fails. However ,if you are using a third party etl tool to run the Mload and fload jobs, you can configure the utility to save the output of the loadjob into a log file.

As far as error tables are concerned, they store the duplicate rows information (uniqueness violations) and error rows information. If a job is paused/aborted due to some error, error tables will not be dropped. You can always query these tables to investigate the reasons for the failure of your job.Once the errors are resolved, re-start your job from where it has stopped and let it run till completion. If the job is successful the Error tables will be dropped automatically by the utility.
