Locatio of output file

Hello,

I am trying to write a tera data Fastexport script. Can the output file be placed on another server. If yes, then how to specify the location on the new server and how to specify the authentication .

Thanks.

Best regards,

brinda

You can write a wapper script which can mount a server location in your fastexport executed system, give proper permission. Or you can generate it, ftp it to server and delete from local system.

Re: Locatio of output file

I am not sure if you really want this to be done from the TD server.

I would expect to do this much more on the load utlities client machines.

But if TD should do this check the external stored procedures. manuals -> SQL Refernence -> External Routine Programming

In Mainframe system you can export the data to a PS file by invoking the FXPORT utility. This also requires another step in the same JCL to invoke the XCOM utility which shall transfer the mainframe file to specified location of the destination server in desired format(say txt).
