MLOAD Restartability

Hi

I do have a scenario where in which I need to Restart MLOAD from the begining rather than from the Latest checkpoint. can any body tell how to do so?

One more que is regarding Fastload as fastload can not load the duplciates eventhough the table is multiset. can anybody guide me regarding what is the reason behind it?

Regards

Re: MLOAD Restartability

Hi Abhijit,
1. Drop the ET, UV, WT, ML tables, release mload on the table & restart the load.
2. Fload can not load duplicate records. I know that this does not answer your question, but That's how it is designed. Instead, Mload in insert mode can be used to solve this.

Re: MLOAD Restartability

Be careful. This works as long as MLOAD has not started the Apply phase. After that, "starting over" is problematic since MLOAD does not use Transient Journal logging (cannot be backed out).

Don't drop the worktables until AFTER you do RELEASE MLOAD and get either "success" or "MLOAD not active" status returned.
