Multiple IMPORT in a LOAD - sequencial or parallel?

Since we have 127 DML limit per IMPORT, I am splitting across 4 IMPORT statements in single LOAD.

I am concerned whether those 4 IMPORTs would execute in parallel?
I want to ensure the sequential data integrity.

on Similar note, Am I correct in assuming that using multiple sessions would break such sequential integrity. And that would apply within single IMPORT.

Thanks,
Akshay

Hi Akshay,
are you talking about MLOAD?
I didn't know about that DML limit (and i hope i'll never have to write/maintain a load script where that limit is hit).

For your concerns i'd suggest start reading the MLOAD documentation.

Those IMPORTs are loaded into the Worktable serially. Then the worktable data is merged into the target table using the "Match Tag", thus it's applied in the right sequence.

For your concerns about multiple sessions, these are used for the Aquisition Phase, during the Application Phase each AMPs applies the modifications locally using the Match Tag again. Thus it's still "sequential".
