I've used SQL Assistant connecting to TD & DB2 with ODBC (separate sessions) with no issues up till version 12. However, with SQL Assistant 13, when I run queries against DB2, the answerset displays the CHAR values as Nulls (i.e. "?" default of nulls as set on the options). Does anyone know what I need to do so that I can see the Char values in the answerset? Note: Numeric values are displayed fine.
There must be some special conditions here.
I am able to retrieve CHAR data (both VARCHAR and CHAR) without any problem.
Can you give me some more details.
Which version of SQLA are you using?
What is the table definition?
Can you provide a small sample of data that fails?
What version of DB2 [and ODBC driver] are you using?
I used SQLA 220.127.116.11 and 14.01 - both worked fine.
Since it worked with SQLA 12 it might be a problem with the Microsoft .Net Provider for ODBC - but if so it must be version or table specific in some way. (There are many problems in that provider)
