Below delimiter value is used in our TPT script. Could you please tell me what is value for this delimiter - \x002
varchar textdelimiter '\x002'
On the face of it this is just a 5 character delimiter consisting of the characters: \ x 0 0 2
If the \x means anything special (although I can't find that feature documented in the TPT manuals) then it is likely that the 002 is a hex/octal representation of a character code. For ASCII characters the '002' is 'start of text' (aka STX).
Thanks Dave for the details.
Can we use hexadecimal characters as delimiters while exporting data from Teradata SQL assistant.
I can see , TAB etc as possible delimiters available in SQL Assistant but how to use hexadecimal value.
For TAB as delimeter, you can use TextDelimeter='TAB' (all in caps). there is an undocumented variable TextDelimeterHex to provide heexadecimal value of the delimeter. You can try that.
Thanks & Regards,
