TPT Loading multiple files into a single table.

Hi,

I have a requirement to load two different files into a single table.

Let us assume File1 has 4 columns(a,b,c,d) and File2 has only 3 columns(a,b,c). Table to be loaded has 4 columns (a,b,c,d).

In TPT we have made it to load data from both the files. File1 is loading properly but with file2 we can't load because of column count conflicts.

So is it possible to load File2 with Null for column d in the table or is there any other way to solve it.

Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Re: TPT Loading multiple files into a single table.

The DataConnector operator supports a feature called "AcceptMissingColumns". If a record has fewer fields than the schema, it will add the missing columns, and will NULL them.

(We also support "AcceptExcessColumns" which will allow for the DC operator to truncate the extra columns.)
