TPT - error TET15111 exporting from Oracle to File

I used the TPT wizard to create an export from Oracle into a 'formatted' file.  When running this job, I get the error below which abends the job.  Any clue what this is indicative of?

MSG='[Oracle][ODBC]Driver not capable.'

W_0_o_ams_file_export: TPT15111: Error 0 allocating memory for data buffer

W_0_o_ams_file_export: disconnecting sessions

W_0_o_ams_file_export: Total processor time used = '0.265625 Second(s)'

W_0_o_ams_file_export: Start : Wed Sep 21 13:30:31 2011

W_0_o_ams_file_export: End   : Wed Sep 21 13:30:32 2011

W_1_o_ams_file_export Total files processed: 0.

Is this a TPT error or ?

The machine is not taxed and has plenty of available memory.  ODBC connectivity to the specified DSN is working.

The wizard does not have a TPT mapping for BLOB or Timestamp, so I have used VARBYTE and ANSI Date (respectively).  Otherwise it is just a one-for-one mapping from Oracle type to TPT type:

Re: TPT - error TET15111 exporting from Oracle to File

Ok, a couple of things.

1. you are not using the DataDirect ODBC drivers and so technically we are not allowed to help you. We only certify the ODBC operator with the ODBC drivers from DataDirect.

2. I would like for you to take the entire TPT script out of the Wizard and run it from the command line, and see if you get the same problem.

3. If you can, please set the TraceLevel attribute to 'all' for the ODBC operator, re-run the job and send me the output log (the .out file).

4. What (exact) version of TPT are you using? You may need to upgrade to the latest patch.

Re: TPT - error TET15111 exporting from Oracle to File

re: #1, I will see about getting DataDirect drivers for windows.  I am prototyping the exports on Windows - once done I will be running them on either Linux or AIX.  Is TPT certified with the unixODBC drivers?

re: #2, I get the same error.

re: #3, sent to Steven.Feinholz@teradata.com

re: #4, I am using the version of TPT that comes with Teradata Express 13.0 for windows.  We are doing an evaluation and this is the latest version I currently have access to.  Is there an evaluation version for 13.10 or later which is available standalone (not as a VM image)?

Thx

Re: TPT - error TET15111 exporting from Oracle to File

Well, I have truly never seen this before, but a call to "malloc" to allocate some space (small) for a buffer, failed.

This seems to be a system resource issue. I do not know how the Express version of Teradata or TTU come into play here.

Thanks.  Glad the problem is novel.
