Teradata

Hi,

replace(string1,string2,string3) or translate(string1,string2,string3) functions seems not to be allowed in teradata.
replaces(string1,string2,string3) work find, but an error message appears after SEVEN use in a SQL request.

This request works:
SELECT
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' )
FROM ..

This one:
SELECT
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' ),
REPLACES(G_T0.TXTAXX,'è' ,'}' )
FROM ..

leads to this error message: Error: Row size or Sort Key size overflow. (State:S1000, Native Code: FFFFF207)

Any idea ?

Re: Teradata

Hello,

Could you any one by any chance get rid of this error. I got this error while loading a 2000 byte unicode column to another through a bteq. :(
