Windows V12 server with HP-UX Utilities

Hello,

I'm a newbie on Teradata.
On my project, we are waiting the installation of the Teradata server in V2R6 (in one month).
For the current month, we have installed the TTU 8 on our HP-UX environnement and we have installed a V12 Teradata server on a Windows computer.
When I try to connect from HP-UX to the database on Windows with BTEQ, I have a "logon failed" error.
When I try to connect with the same BTEQ instructions from The Windows BTEQ version, the connection is OK.

=> Is it possible to connect (for a temporary development environment) from HP-UX to a TD v12 Windows databse with BTEQ TTU 8 ?

Yes, it certainly should be possible to connect from your client on HP-UX. Be aware that the client
software expects the server host name to have the form "xxxxcop1" where xxxx is the server name
that you specify on the BTEQ logon. If you can't set up the host name that way, the alternative
is to specify the server IP addresss on the BTEQ logon.
