bypass username and pwd in BTEQ by using LOGONPROMPT OFF

In BTEQ
I did .SET LOGONPROMPT OFF
then I checked whether it is really bypassing login username and password.
I tried to login with the following command
.LOGON TDPID/;
but it didn't allow me to login instead it prompted for username and password.
is anything wrong with this syntax or is there any other way to bypass login credentials in BTEQ?
I verified in properties of that BTEQ session by using SHOW CONTROL command, LOGONPROMPT is set to OFF only.
I have gone through some documentation but I didn't get any clue.
Can any one help me regarding this.

Re: bypass username and pwd in BTEQ by using LOGONPROMPT OFF

Hi Darin,

Thanks for your reply .

The use of setting LOGONPROMPT OFF is to bypass username and password, Again if I provide username and password in LOGON statement there is no difference as per my knowledge.
If so can you explian it in detail.
