How to Use Maintenance Mode to Disable Unused Services in Hadoop?

The UDA channel is for Teradata’s Unified Data Architecture including the Analytical Ecosystem and other UDA influences. This channel provides information specific to the integration and co-existence of multiple systems, in particular when a mix of Aster, Teradata, and Hadoop are present. It is also meant to support information around the UDA enabling technologies so products like Viewpoint, Data Mover, Connectors, QueryGrid, etc.

How to Use Maintenance Mode to Disable Unused Services in Hadoop?

The Teradata Appliance for Hadoop includes preinstalled services that may not be necessary for all customers.
Putting unnecessary services into maintenance mode prevents alerts from starting automatically and sending alerts.
1. Log on to Ambari.
2. In the Services menu, select the service to disable.
3. In the Service Actions drop-down menu, select Turn On Maintenance Mode.
This prevents alerts from being generated.
4. In the Service Actions drop-down menu, select Stop.
5. In the Confirmation window, click Confirm Stop.
