What User Roles are available in Teradata AppCenter?
Teradata AppCenter has three user roles, namely – Root, Non-Admin and Admin.
A Root user can only configure AppCenter but not run any apps or do any app management. A Root user can configure systems, Ldap & Active Directory settings, and manage users.
A Non-Admin user can create apps and manage his own apps. He also has access to all logs generated by his apps.
An Admin user can create apps and manage apps for ALL users in AppCenter. He is the only user who can view System logs. He also has access to change privileges for other users.
There are also privileges for job results. Although Admin user has access to all apps in AppCenter, results for all jobs are by default configured private. Unless they are specifically shared, no user admin or non-admin has access.
There are also privileges for users on an app. Admin user has access to edit and view any app or run a job. A non-admin user can also be given access to an app by adding him as the Manager or a Private user.
