After recent upgrade to TD13.10 with viewpoint V13.11.00.04-b59, we have noticed the delay queue users getting released out of order where as they should have been getting release on first come first serve basis.
The issue is still under investigation however one observation was that a particular user that got released did not have the 'delay' tab in the query details available with it while it was delayed. There were no other TDWM throttles or rules for the delay. It was just a simple workload throttle.
Any ideas or known issues?
This is not an issue we've seen before so a couple of thoughts on this issue. First, your Viewpoint version is getting a bit old and moldy as you are two major releases behind and several patch levels. As we haven't heard of this behavior before, we can't guarantee the upgrade will solve the issue but you will benefit from the many new features you will realize and additional patch protection. Also, if you can create this issue in the current releases, it would help Teradata isolate this issue if it does indeed still exist there.
For further analysis, submission of a GSC incident would be the recommended next step.
Thanks Gary. Previously the example observed was against a workload throttle whereas I've seen this behaviour again today for utility throttle.
I'll follow it up with a gsc incident.
