How can I restrict number of sessions or queries a user in sudden WORKLOAD can run at a time?

Hello,

We have a profile named  Large_spool_users. I like to restrict through TASM that  users who are assigned to  this profile can run only one SQL job at at time.

This profile is assigned to a workload   named  WD_STANDARD_VERY_LARGE   in TASM.

Can any of  you  tell me how can I do this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

As of Teradata 13.10, system filters and system throttles utilize the same "common classification" that one would use for setting up workload definitions (WDs). So you could create this as a system throttle very easily. When creating a system throttle in Workload Designer, you will see a checkbox option for "Member: one queue for each user" which means that each user in the profile will get a throttle limit of one instead of the profile as a whole getting throttled to one.
