Restriction on number of "instances" of a portlet...?

Hi,

Is there any provision by default, to have a control on the number of instances of a portlet?
If not, what would be the best way to control the number of instances of a portlet that a user can deploy... ?

Thanks,
Bilal

If desired, you can limit the user to having a single instance of a portlet on a page. To do so, in liferay-portlet.xml, set the instanceable XML node to false. Other than that, there is no other way to limit the number of instances of a portlet.
