Posting, Replying & Commenting

When you submit a question on the Teradata Community, you will get answers from other members of the Teradata community as well as Teradata experts.

To ask a question:

  1. Click on the "Start a Topic" box in the orange page header within the forum you want to post to. You must be signed into the community for this box to appear.
  2. A New Message window will appear.  
  3. Type in the subject of your post and then enter your text in the body of the message. You may add photos to your post by clicking the "Browse" button at the bottom of the message and selecting files from your computer.
  4. Choose a "Label" for your post and any optional "Message Tags" you want to add.
  5. When you are done, Click "Post."    

To reply to a post: Use the "Reply" box located under the anchor post to reply to the message. When you post a message as a reply, it will be added to the existing thread instead of creating a new one.

To comment on a post: If you would like to comment on a post as opposed to answering it, or to comment on someone's reply to a post, click the "Comment" button at the bottom of the post. Enter your comment and then click the "Post your Comment" button.

To report an inappropriate message:

  1. From within a post, click the vertical ellipsis icon located at the top right of the window to access the Action menu.
  2. Click on "Report Inappropriate Content". A new window will open where you can enter text describing what you feel is inappropriate about the post.
  3. Click the "Notify A Moderator" button to complete the action.
  4. Your message will be sent to a moderator for review.
