DSA backup job completed Status as WARNING does Not Populate WARNING CODE column in DSA log

Hi,

We have few DSA backup jobs which are completing with status as WARNING but we did not find any Warning Code in DSA log under WARNING CODE column. But Jobs completed as COMPLETED_ERRORS show error code under ERROR CODE column.

In what case WARNING CODE column populate data ? even Job completed as WARNING does not populate this column.

Thanks - Sandeep.

Re: DSA backup job completed Status as WARNING does Not Populate WARNING CODE column in DSA log

Hello Sandeep,

I've not used this but according to the following knowledge article there are exit codes from the "dsc run_job -w" command

DSA: return codes for "dsc run_job -w"

The indirect option is that you could create/configure a Viewpoint BAR Job Status Alert (within the Viewpoint BAR Portlet)

"In what case WARNING CODE column populate data ? even Job completed as WARNING does not populate this column." I assume that you have enabled the Warning Column and have tried sorting by it.  For most situtations either the Error or Warning columns within the BAR Portlet get populated appropriatley however there are situations where DSA cannot provide this information eg. if you have a corrupted object header which means the database cannot provide the object name, which in turn means neither can DSA.

some functionality may depend on the version of components you are running
