I was hoping to use the TD-GeoImport tool to get some data into Teradata, but alas I have a 64 bit machine. I should have read the "32 bit" in the label first, before getting this error:
Can't load IA 32-bit .dll on a AMD 64-bit platform
Any plans to release this tool for 64 bit machines ?
Anyone loading with 64 bit machines and using the GDAL ogr library ?
Following on from that, I came across an old Todd Walter 13.10 presentation (on SlideShare - http://www.slideshare.net/teradata/td13-10-fot201004) that mentions:
"Replace the Shape File Generator client tool (org2org) with a stored procedure for tighter integration with the database adn tools such as ESRI ARCGIS" (Note: I think the reference should be (ogr2ogr).
The Teradata 14.00 SQL Geospatial Types manual still references TDGEOImport/TDGEOExport which utilises the underlying gdal / ogr2ogr libraries.
Is there a stored procedure for shape file interaction with Teradata, as Todd alluded to in his prerelease 13.10 presentation ?
I am able to run the 32-bit TD GeoImport by installing a 32-bit JRE. This can be installed side-by-side with a 64-bit JRE.
