Re: td wallet for jdbc

Hi,

on http://developer.teradata.com/tools/articles/introducing-teradata-wallet

At present, only logon processing that is initiated through Teradata CLIv2 for Network Attached Systems utilizes Teradata Wallet.  This includes tools such as:

    - Basic Teradata Query Utility (BTEQ)

    - Teradata FastLoad

    - Teradata MultiLoad

    - Teradata Parallel Data Pump (TPump)

    - Teradata FastExport

    - Teradata ARC

    - Teradata Preprocessor2 (PP2)

    - Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT)

And I guess this didn't changed with 14.10...

Re: td wallet for jdbc

No, at the present time, there is no interoperability between Teradata Wallet and the Teradata JDBC Driver.

The primary obstacles are (1) Teradata Wallet uses native platform-dependent code, while the Teradata JDBC Driver is 100% pure Java, and (2) Teradata Wallet must be installed, while the Teradata JDBC Driver has no installation, just copy jar files.

Any change on this - or is Wallet unavailable for JDBC

Re: td wallet for jdbc

It is still the case that, at the present time, there is no interoperability between Teradata Wallet and the Teradata JDBC Driver.

We are in the planning stage for a new Teradata JDBC Driver feature, to enable the use of passwords stored in encrypted files. The initial release of that feature is not likely to interoperate with Teradata Wallet; however, interoperability may be possible in a future release.

Re: td wallet for jdbc

Teradata JDBC Driver Stored Password Protection is now available, beginning with Teradata JDBC Driver version 16.00.00.24.

Please note that Teradata JDBC Driver Stored Password Protection is separate from Teradata Wallet. At the present time, there is no interoperability between the two features, but that may be added in the future.
