Express Edition - connection reset when using Session Info
New install, Windows 2003 server. First time Teradata user, but I have experience w/ Oracle, MSSQL, etc.
Per the validation script, I open Service Control and start Teradata. After a few moments, the status is "Teradata is Running", so far, so good.
Now I click File / Session Info -- immediately the status changes to "PDE State is RESET/STOPTASKS", whereupon it then goes through the full cycle of messages and back to "Teradata is Running". While that is happening an alert dialog pops up stating a "10054 WAS E ConnReset: Connection reset by peer" error has occurred.
SOLVED: This is now solved. I uninstalled everything, re-ran the installation (no changes) and now it is all working. Not sure what the problem was or what really went 'right' this time vs. last time. Just happy it's working.
