How to understand Incremental Planning Execution in Viewpoint Explain Plan

Hi,

Recently i was looking for a query that was running for long. Upon looking explain plan from Viewpoint, i saw that query had 29 steps and it was showing in Explain Plan that its Running 29 of 29 steps.

I could see that IPE option was opted by the optimizer.

I just want to know, how can we look for the probelmatic part in the explain then, as it shows its running all of steps. How should we look if the optimizer uses IPE ?

If the query is currently executing you will see all the steps up to the current plan fragment, each fragment is terminated by an END PLAN FRAGMENT step. A final END PLAN FRAGMENT step in Viewpoint indicates that there will be additional fragments executed after the current fragment ends.
