We upgraded from Teradata 15.10 to 16.20 and have now the following random problem with DELETE statements: Either the executed DELETES are executed as expected or they run for exactly 15 minutes. Even if the table from which we delete is empty. If we abort the delete statement, the "rollback" (even on an empty table) again takes exactly 15 minutes.
During our nightly loads it's always different queries which show this behavior i.e. this behavior is not stable. BTW, It's definitely not related to workload delays, i checked this already.
Anybody else experienced such a strange behavior with TD 16.20?
You say that you've checked for 'workload delays', does that include the 'delay' due to the "minimum response time goal" feature?
This feature was there on 15.10 but maybe not being used. Also, are queries that exhibit this delay and those that are not in the same WD?
