After the teradata database upgraded to the intelliflex platform, we observed the table which had no BLC of 18TB turned to 23 TB after upgrade.
We were expecting the size be decreasing, since the BLC is default with intelliflex. not sure if i am understanding in wrong.
Any ideas/thoughts on why the table size increased?

Intelliflex is FALLBACK mandatory, Was the table in the previous system FALLBACK?
"BLC enabled" means nothing by itself. Is there "manual" or "temperature based" BLC enabled for the table? If "temperature based", the system will need some time to determine which blocks to COMPRESS.
The datablocksize for the new system is the same it was for the old one?
Thank you very much for the quick respnse,
BLC was not enabled on old system.
If i assume, the table size was 1TB without fallback, after upgrade to IFX, what does the table size would be?
Also, if the table size is 1TB with fallback, after upgrade to IFX, what does this table size be?
Regarding FALLBACK only, if the table was 1TB without FALLBACK the "normal" size for the FALLBACK version is 2x1TB = 2TB (approx).
There are others factors: datablocksize, fragmentation, TB BLC increasingly compressing blocks, other BLC factors (dbscontrol settings), indexes, etc...
