Does a single-write lock wait for a table-read-proxylock?
I can't seem to find that in the manuals, and when I look at the steps for two queries that were in a deadlock-situation, I see the proxylock for the tableread granted, followed by a wait (of approx. 3 minutes) for the readlock on the table itself, untill the timestamp that the other session (with only an insert in the same table) is (deadlock-)aborted. Hence my question. Or do I have to look for another explanation?
