Once users password expire and user login, it should promopt window to change the password. But here, users do not receive prompt to change password and need admin to change password.
Any reason, why users are not receiving change password prompt after password expiration ? anything need to check ?
The database generates a 3032 warning or error if the password expires. It's up to the client application to handle that code and provide the password change dialog.
Older versions of the ODBC driver could generate pop-up dialogs for certain situations, but that feature has been deprecated for quite some time. And the 16.20 version of the driver no longer includes pop-up dialog functionality.
Thanks Fred, But if we have older version like ODBC15.10, any way to enable this one ?
In the 15.10 ODBC driver, you can still set RunInQuietMode=No to revert to the deprecated legacy behavior.
You should consider this a temporary workaround until the application can be updated; the option will have no effect once you upgrade to the latest TTU.
