sql assistant list column report - column label where do I find it

I am putting together a data dictionary for our warehouse and we are trying to automate the process pulling the database name, view name and column name from the DBC view(s). What I find very helpful is the Label column returned in the SQL assistant Tools/List Columns report which is an English like short description of the column.

For instance column  sls_org_cd has a label of Sales Organization Code. Having the label as well as the database name, view name and column name would save me a lot of time and effort as well as improve the product produced. So far my tech guys and I can't see where that comes from.

Any ideas?

Hi,

This is the 'commentstring' column in views like dbc.columnsv.

Or dbc.ColumnsV.ColumnTitle

And to understand/test the difference between the two try this:

create table sqla1
(col1 integer title 'columntitle');

comment on column sqla1.col1 as 'column comment';

Cheers,
