Announcing the launch of Teradatas Big Analytics Workshops
This highly interactive experience is led by practitioners with firsthand experience working with Teradata’s Unified Data Architecture™ (UDA) for Big Analytics. You will understand the UDA components, walk through several Aster advanced analytic use cases and construct multi-genre advanced analytic techniques at scale on multi-structured data. At the end of the session attendees will:
Participate in hands on exercises to ingest and analyze data across the UDA to derive critical business insights, and understand how insights could be operationalized in their unique business environments.
Learn about the variety of pre-built Aster analytical solutions (e.g., Customer Journey, On-site Search Optimization) that anyone in the organization can implement to address critical business needs at speed.
Get a deep dive review of some of the recently added cutting edge capabilities to Aster Analytics (e.g., Aster Analytics on Hadoop).
Obtain enough practitioner knowledge to become impassioned advocates of advanced analytics as a practice and Aster Analytics as the preferred solution within their organizations.

Working knowledge of SQL. Basic knowledge of scripting languages. Experience with command-line interfaces.
Due to the fast-paced nature of this workshop, all labs are done via Teradata Studio client using pre-configured queries. Students will have the chance to write their own queries during some of the labs, if desired, and you will receive a UDA on a Stick with the data sets and VM images to practice on your own after the Big Analytics Workshop.
The course uses Teradata Studio and Teradata Aster AppCenter to run queries using Teradata QueryGrid and Aster SQL-MR functions.In addition, we will use Tableau to view visualizations.
