Hotkey for one line statement not working after previous execution

In 16.20.07 (maybe also in earlier versions) it is not possible to execute one-line statements with hotkey when cursor is not moved to the beginning or end of the line after the previous execution.

  • Open Teradata SQL Editor and enter two lines with SQL statements, e.g.
SET TIME ZONE 'GMT';
help session;
  • Place cursor on begin of first line, execute command with hotkey (default: <Alt+S>) - statement is executed.
  • Press hotkey again - statement is NOT executed (sometimes it also works two or three times).
  • Go to the begin of the next line with <Down>, press hotkey - statement is NOT executed.
  • Move cursor one character right with <Right>, press hotkey - statement is NOT executed.
  • Go to beginning of line with <Home>, press hotkey - now the statement is executed again.
