How can I read or understand the content of TPT checkpoint file?

Hi All,

I am running a TPT load (using tbuild) which is failing while loading an OUT file (say file1.out) to table due to data length issues & is creating checkpoint files. The out files are created from excel worksheets.

To fix the issue, we update the values in worksheet and re-run the process. The process generate a new OUT file with correct data length (say file2.out) and put in same directory as file1.out

The problem is when TPT job restarts it keeps on picking file1.out instead of file2.out. I am pretty sure it is due to checkpoint files & a bit curious to understand the files better.

I have following questions:-

- What information does the checkpoint file stores?

- Does it store the name of file to be loaded (in this case file1.out)?

- Is it possible to read the checkpoint file in any way as it contains information in non-readable format?

Regards,

Yuvi
