I'm trying to install Teradata 16.10 in my Ubuntu 64 bit too.
Can you tell me where to get the specific Ubuntu package? I can only find Linux version on the download section (https://downloads.teradata.com/download/tools/teradata-tools-and-utilities-linux-installation-packag...)
Appreciate your help.
Here is the link to TSS (Teradata Software Server)-
Navigate through Ubuntu on the left pane.
Hello This is not working .. I tried the above steps - but it says
bteq: bteq: cannot execute [Exec format error]
Anyone had any luck with above steps ?
Thanks For Getting Back!
I used the following steps :
Unzip files : tar xvzf TTU 16.20.10.00 Ubuntu - Base
browse to folder i386-x8664
./mkrepo.sh ( without any arguments )
sudo dpkg -i tdicu_package
sudo dpkg -i cliv2_package
sudo dpkg -i piom_package
cd .. ( upto the parent folder where everything was extracted with tar command )
sudo ./setup.bat . -- > this installed bteq onwards everything available as part of TTU 16.20
Response from Engineering:
I downloaded the Ubuntu 16.20.00.00 release and installed bteq using setup.bat and bteq installed and worked just fine.
Can you please share with the user and ask that he uninstalls all packages and use setup.bat to install bteq and see if that works.
