I'm trying to copy an archive file zipped using arcmain sent to me and trying to restore it on my own teradata database. I need to view the contents of the archive before I load it with the copy db script. I need the name of the database name inside the archive and cannot restore the archive without it ? Can anyone let me know if there is a way to list the archvie objects (databases, tables, views) before we load the archive on target teradata database?
Thanks Joe, but ANALYZE works only tape archives. The archive which I have is a "file" archive of a database on some remote Teradata server. It has been copied from the remote server to my laptop. I tried with analyze * long display file=CAN330 and it keeps giving me all kinds of errors.
