TPT script file not found issue

Hi All,

I am pretty new in teradata. I am running one tpt script using tbuild cmd (with export operator [2] ) to load data from teradata to linux. When I was running tpt for sample records it was running fine. when I ran it for whole table it was taking too long to copy, so I killed it in between using linux PID but after that when I am trying to run it. I am getting below error.

EXPORT_OPERATOR: connecting sessions
FILE_WRITER_REQ1[1]: TPT19231 file 'acutual_file_name' not found.
FILE_WRITER_REQ1[1]: TPT19015 TPT Exit code set to 12.
TPT_INFRA: TPT02263: Error: Operator restart error, status = Fatal Error
FILE_WRITER_REQ1[2]: TPT19231 file 'acutual_file_name' not found.
FILE_WRITER_REQ1[2]: TPT19015 TPT Exit code set to 12.
TPT_INFRA: TPT02263: Error: Operator restart error, status = Fatal Error
EXPORT_OPERATOR: disconnecting sessions

acutual_file_name=path of file (for security reason I cant post here).

And when I tried changing export operator 2 to 3 I am getting below error

EXPORT_OPERATOR: connecting sessions
TPT_INFRA: TPT02515: Error: An object did not exist for key: INSERT_1[0003]
TPT_INFRA: TPT02515: Error: An object did not exist for key: SELECT_2[0003]
FILE_WRITER_REQ1[1]: TPT19003 Original job had 2 instances. Restart has 3!
FILE_WRITER_REQ1[1]: TPT19003 Original job had 2 instances. Restart has 3!
FILE_WRITER_REQ1[1]: TPT19015 TPT Exit code set to 12.
TPT_INFRA: TPT02263: Error: Operator restart error, status = Fatal Error
EXPORT_OPERATOR: disconnecting sessions

My question is - Is the Job that  I killed with PID is still running somewhere in teradata and why its looking for files beforehand, where it has to create two new files. Could someone pls help if he has faced same scenario.

Re: TPT script file not found issue

You need to remove the checkpoint file if you want to start over vs. restart (see twbrmcp command in TPT Reference).

Re: TPT script file not found issue

Another way for you to tell TPT to start all over again (and to remove the checkpoint files) is to specify the -s 1 command on the command line.

That tells TPT you want to start over again at Step 1 (and this forces a removal of any checkpoint files associated with that job).
