Most likely you don't have write access to the "objectrepository" subfolders to save the definition. By default, REPOSITORY_ROOT is set to

C:\Program Files (x86)\Teradata\client\15.00\Teradata Parallel Transporter\tptwizard\objectrepository

Some options:

Change the folder permissions, or

Edit ...\tptwizard\config\tptwizard.properties file to change the location of the objectrepository, and/or

Edit  ...\tptwizard\tptwizard.cmd to change the location of the properties file, or

Copy the entire tptwizard folder and all its subfolders to some other location and edit the properties, cmd, and shortcut to reflect the new location.

Hello,

Do you have a solution without admin right for windows ?

Re: TPT wizard finish button to run is not doing anything

As noted above: Copy the entire tptwizard folder and all its subfolders and files to some other location where you have full access to the copy.

Edit the tptwizard.properties and tptwizard.cmd in the copy: change any path that includes the tptwizard folder to point to the copy instead.

Also edit the properties of the shortcuts / icons used to launch tptwizard to point to the copy - or create new shortcuts, or just launch by double-clicking the edited copy of tptwizard.cmd in File Explorer.

Better yet, look at using templates (see Advanced Scripting Strategies in the TPT User Guide), or Teradata Studio / Studio Express "smart loader" data transfer, or the OleLoad wizard (see the Access Module Reference). TPT Wizard is deprecated and due to be discontinued.

Which path? Did you try escaping the backslashes? \\\\Servname\\sharedname\\

Re: TPT wizard finish button to run is not doing anything

Hello Fred,

Escaping the backslashes worked like a charm but now when running a job i have this kind of error :

Re: TPT wizard finish button to run is not doing anything

Based on the error screenshot, it seems there are two filenames being concatenated as a single string. Not sure if that's related to your UNC editing or something else.

As noted in a prior post, best option at this point may be to abandon the (deprecated) TPT wizard and use another approach.
